My journey as an artist began in Charlotte, NC where I was lucky enough to be welcomed into the vibrant art community and mentored by some truly amazing and generous artists.
In 2019, I was one of nine artists juried into that year’s Arts and Science Council Community Supported Art Program (CSA).
Each participating artist was granted a stipend and charged with creating 50 unique art pieces to be presented to the 50 local sponsors who had pre-funded that year’s program. We met our sponsors over the course of 3 receptions.
I created “Animaux” for that year’s CSA sponsors. If anyone is counting, I actually created a 51st piece by special request. I loved the moment I stood in front of everyone to present this series to them.
