I'm a mixed media artist. I mostly paint in acrylics, with an occasional flurry of drawing when the mood strikes. I prefer to work in series, sometimes focusing exclusively on one, other times bouncing between different series. This site is my trail of breadcrumbs: every series, the story behind it, and a journal I keep along the way.

Nothing but Chickens

I have a thing for chickens. I used to dream of keeping my own backyard chickens. Until I learned how troublesome it can be to keep them healthy and alive (think coyotes). Not to mention I don’t have a backyard anymore. These days I’m content to visit the feral chickens running along the Brickell Underline. Watching the mama hens chase their chicks around is my favorite.
